I was looking to buy the first, original DIXIT, but there are 2 versions. I am wondering what the differences are between International Rules Version and the one that is not. Aside from the $12 price gap on Amazon, I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere.

      Hi,

The first original Dixit is "Dixit". The games Dixit Odyssey and Dixit Journey are expansions whose can be played without Dixit.

The principal difference between these games are the cards which are totally different and illustrated by a different illustrator.

I love dixit and have all the versions and play with my boyfriend and often play with a few other couples that also really love it. As an artist myself, I love all the different illustrators that have worked with you. I have an artist in mind that would fit right in with them and be absolutely perfect for another expansion! Are you looking for more artists right now?

Saw a review of your game and fell in love with it. I bought it and enjoyed the game very much. I did notice that the game board in my version was a little folded game board. This was a small thing, but a bit of a let down. I thought the box as a game board looked so much better. Why the change? Also, if one wanted to buy the game with the other game board, is it possible?

      Hi,

      Thank you for your message.

it depends the country where you live. The board into the box is for the Dixit base game. The folded board is a board for Dixit Odyssey in Europe of for somes old version of Dixit or Dixit JOurney Expansion (for USA only). The change of board doesnt change the rules of the game. :)

As an artist who loves your game, I wonder if you would be inclined to sell blank copies of the cards, so customers could create their own custom additions. These could come as a cheap expansion set or, a thought, as a handful of extras to accompany each set. Family pictures, vacation photos or hand sketches would add a personal flair and sense of ownership to customers' games! I think it might sell well and I would definitely like to purchase a set.

I recently played the basic DIXIT game at a friend's and am planning to get a set of my own. I wanted to know if the Dixit 2, 3 Origins, Quest, etc each have entirely different set of cards as compared to the original 84 cards in the basic game.

      Hi,

      Thank you for your message.

      First please note that :
      - Dixit 2 and Dixit quest are the same games.
      - Dixit 3 and Dixit journey are the same games.
      - Dixit 4 and Dixit Origins are the same games.

All the Dixit games (expansions or base games) have 84 different cards. You can't find the same cards in Dixit and Dixit Origins for example.
All the Dixit have a different illustrator (exept Dixit and Dixit Quest, it's Marie Cardouat for the both), thus different cards :-) .

    Hello,
Is there any possibility to get a bigger size of an image from the game? I love the illustrations and I would like to use the motif of one of the cards to let my primary school pupils write a story about it. As I would like to present the picture to all of them at the same time, I need a bigger size of it.

    Hello Libellud,

I'd like to ask something but I'm not sure if you guys can give that type of information. I would like to know what is the ink used to print the cards from the game. I've never found such a good ink to make my own card game, but I searched and searched but was never able to find its name. Just to emphatize, I'm not trying to do anything related with unauthorized copy or something like that. I just want really bad to be able to print an image with that smoothness and durability.

Thank you guys, even if you can't help me with that. Waht a wonderful game!

P.S: Sorry for possible bad english.

I saw the playthrough of this game on Tabletop, ordered it and had a blast with it. However, I was expecting the Stone Garden score tracker, and just got one that is numbers on a grid with the boy holding up a wooden sword to a dragon in the background. I've done a little research, and I see that the stone garden tracker is from an older edition, and was wondering if that is available for sale separately.

In theory, yes...but you didn't have the components like the token for vote or the rabbit. Only the european version of Dixit Odyssey add the components for play with more than 6 people.
If you buy a normal expansion (like Dixit quest or Dixit Memories), you add only 84 news cards.

I have played dixit and fall in love with images..
After a decision not to buy a fake one from China, I go and buy yesterday 18/11 the real one.. I bought the odyssey version because I want the option for 12 players but I was disappointed from the images..it's all new ! There is an option to send you the cards and replace it with other ones? Like journey/origins/revelations
I bought also memories which is amazing!!! But the cards of Odysseus really problematic for me..I don't want to use them and it's coast so much! I will love to hear if you have any solutions idea? Thank you.. This game is grate.. But this version of cards a bit scary for me and me family, I wasn't aware to that when I bought that, as I say I played other cards before..
    Waiting to hear from you

    Sivan

      Hello,

      Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately we can't help you. We can't directly send you an other set of cards in replacement. We don't take in charge the sales and the customer service. Please contact directly your retailer or the distributor of our games in your country.

But normally all the informations are available, you can see in the box that the cards are different.

We are really sorry for you.

      Have a nice day

      Hello,

      Thank you for your message.

There is no manual on the meaning of the images of Dixit.
It's the purpose of the game ;-)
Each player see different things on a same card. A manual could not be exhaustive. :)

      Thank you
      Have a nice day

Hi, I have the base game and 3 expansions to Dixit, however I don't see a marking anywhere distinguishing the different sets. The reason I'm looking to separate the is because one of our friends managed to spill one all over our gameplay and some of the card got damaged and I wanted to see from which set the damaged cards are from. I can't seem to find online a library or the different images per base and expansion boxes. Would some one be able to help me with this? Thanks and merry Christmas. :)

Are there any plans to make a 12 player add-on for the English dixit? I want to.get this game badly but have refrained because I don't want to have to get the 12 player Odyssey (for the 12 players) and the base game (for the cards). I am also a completionist and want all my xpansions to be the same size! This is a very popular request from many players and I am baffled why you haven't made just like a 12 player expansion pack, which comes with 6 new color bunnies, a new scoreboard, and voting tokens, and rules. It would probably be very easy to, is there any plans for something like this seeing as the request for this is so common?

      Hi,

      Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, none of our illustrators for Dixit have the name of Christian Schloe.
Maybe it's a mistake on the name, maybe you confuse with a different game or illustrator.
      Sorry.

I wonder if you'll someday start making licensed expansions of Dixit? (e.g. "Dixit Disney")

Hi, I fell in love with Dixit the first time I played it and had to get a copy for myself. Other than the mad fun, I especially love the illustrations. I was wondering if you print these for pair matching card game. I'd love to buy a set of playing cards with these illustrations in pairs to play matching games as memory boosting exercise. I think the pictures would make the exercise more appealing than boring regular numbered playing cards.

Our family loves this game, we don't however love the scoreboard. Rabbits are constantly knocked over. I think a peg board would be much better way for this not to happen. I may even make one for our use, with the same colors you used for the rabbits.
